The musculoskeletal system provides form, support, stability, movement to the body, binds tissues and organs together and protects vital organs

 It serves as the main storage system for calcium and phosphorus

It contains critical components of the hematopoietic system.

It is made up of the bones of the skeleton, muscles, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, joints, bursae and other connective tissue.
